About

A local guy helping local businesses compete.

James

Hey, I'm James.

I'm from the Greater Cincinnati area. Growing up around small business owners and contractors, I've spent years watching hardworking people build great businesses only to lose customers to competitors with a stronger online presence.

Not because their work was better. Not because they charged less. But because today's marketplace has changed. Word of mouth still matters, but more often than not, the first impression happens online. The businesses with the best websites, the easiest way to contact them, and the most organized customer experience are the ones getting the call.

I started Big Local Ideas to help level the playing field.

Most marketing and AI agencies think a shiny website is enough, but traffic is just the front door. We build the engine behind it. Part of working with us is getting access to Big Local Hub — an all-in-one dashboard built specifically for independent businesses that brings your time and money tracking, jobs and leads management, customer list, calendar, and more into one place.

My goal isn't to sell you things you don't need. In fact, I will tell it to you straight if I don't think something we have is a good fit for you. What I want is to find practical solutions that save you time, help you get more work, and give your customers a better experience, while letting you focus on what you do best.

No giant agency pricing. No unnecessary complexity. No six different subscriptions. Just straightforward technology and honest advice built around what actually helps your business grow.

I believe Cincinnati has some of the hardest-working small business owners and contractors anywhere. They deserve the same quality tools and web presence that larger companies have access to — without paying enterprise prices or dealing with enterprise headaches.

If you're a local business owner who's been putting off improving your business because of cost, time, or simply not knowing where to start — or you're spending thousands each month on logistics and technology — that's exactly why Big Local Ideas exists.

Reach out. It's free, there's no pressure, and by the end of our conversation you'll have a clear understanding of where your business stands, what opportunities you're missing, and what makes sense for your next step — whether we end up working together or not.
